A THOUGHTFUL TRANSITION

    A new look.
    Your words, respected.

What has been checked, what remains on the original website, and what needs to happen before a live-site replacement.

This is a separate design preview, not a replacement of the live WordPress site and not a complete backup. Nothing on the original website has been deleted or changed by this build.

Public-source inventory checked on 29 October 2026. The article sitemap and WordPress API both returned 54 published posts, with no missing addresses and no empty article bodies in that comparison.

What this preview preserves access to

    • All 54 inventoried article titles and original slugs are saved in the preview.
    • The Insights page reads the full public WordPress archive, including additional pages of results as the archive grows.
    • Individual article text is fetched from WordPress using the original slug. These articles still depend on the original WordPress site being available.
    • If WordPress is unavailable, the saved article index remains browsable and links to the original article addresses are provided.
    • All five shop products link to the existing store. Checkout, customer accounts, and purchases stay there.
    • Two relevant Amazon book links retain the original affiliate tag. Automated product blocks are excluded from the preview reading layout.

    What is not migrated yet

The preview is not an independent copy of the full blog. Article images, other embedded media, comments, revision history, SEO plugin settings, shop data, mailing lists, and booking integrations have not been migrated. Four existing images have been copied into the preview’s media library; the complete media library has not. Forty of the 54 posts report featured media in WordPress, which still needs a full media audit.

    Before replacing the live site

    • Take an owner-controlled WordPress database and files backup, plus content and shop exports.
    • Choose where WordPress will continue running. If the main domain changes to this preview, configure a separate WordPress origin first so article fetching does not point back to the new site.
    • Import and compare full article text, media, dates, authors, categories, comments, and metadata if moving away from WordPress.
    • Review every existing page and its links, including the interviews and inspiration pages below.
    • Preserve original addresses, including emoji-encoded slugs, and test any required permanent redirects.
    • Check payments, customer accounts, enquiry delivery, privacy information, and affiliate compliance with the owner.
    • Remove the preview’s search-engine exclusion only after the final domain, canonical URLs, sitemap, and content checks are complete.
